Sadaat Care Funds

A Unique Initiative By Maulana Anwaar Foundation

Serving the Family of the Prophet ﷺ with Dignity and Respect

Helping the Sadaat (Ahl al-Bayt) is not only a social responsibility but also a religious and moral duty rooted in the teachings of Islam. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ repeatedly reminded the Ummah to honor and care for his family. In a well-known Hadith, he said: “I remind you of Allah regarding my Ahl al-Bayt.” (Sahih Muslim). This powerful reminder highlights that respecting and supporting the family of the Prophet ﷺ is part of our faith and love for him. When members of the Sadaat community face financial hardship, illness, educational difficulties, or other challenges, extending help to them becomes both an act of charity and an expression of devotion.

Islam teaches that helping the needy carries immense reward. The Prophet ﷺ said that the one who strives to help the poor and the widow is like the one striving in the path of Allah (Sahih al-Bukhari). If the person in need belongs to the blessed lineage of the Prophet ﷺ, the act carries an added spiritual value — it combines the reward of charity with the honor of serving the Ahl al-Bayt. At the same time, Islam emphasizes preserving dignity and giving assistance discreetly, ensuring that help does not compromise the respect of those receiving it.

Keeping this noble responsibility in mind, Maulana Anwaar Foundation (MAF) has introduced the Sadaat Care Funds initiative. This dedicated program is designed to provide respectful, confidential, and structured financial support to deserving Sadaat families who are struggling due to poverty, medical emergencies, educational expenses, or other hardships. Through this initiative, MAF aims to uphold the teachings of the Prophet ﷺ by combining compassion with dignity, and charity with responsibility. The Sadaat Care Funds is not merely a welfare program; it is a mission rooted in love for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and commitment to serving his blessed family with honor and sincerity.

Sadaat (descendants of the Prophet ﷺ) are not permitted to receive Zakat.
